Welcome!

CGI, The Commission for the Management and Application of Geoscience Information, is a Commission of the International Union of Geological Sciences.

Our mission is to enable the global exchange of knowledge about geoscience information and systems. This website will be one of the most important ways that CGI will achieve its mission.

We hope you will find the website worth visiting! If you have any feedback, comments, or suggestions you are welcome to send them to us.

If you would like to know more about us or perhaps become a member of CGI, please click here.

A major initiative of the CGI is the development of GeoSciML. More information about GeoSciMl, as well as downloads of GeoSciML materials, are available.

This website was last updated on 5 November 2007.
