John Broome
John Broome is Acting Chief Information Officer of the Earth Sciences Sector of Natural Resources Canada. Since 1998, John has also been a Champion for the Canadian Geoscience Knowledge Network, a national geoscience information management and access initiative involving all 13 Canadian Geological Survey Agencies. Throughout his 28-year career in government and the private sector, John has worked and published on a range of geoscience and information management projects including; geophysical modelling and imaging software development, GIS project management, information technology infrastructure design, and geoscience policy and standards development.
John is a registered professional engineer and a graduate of Queen's University at Kingston and Carleton University in Ottawa.
