Who we are and how to join us

CGI is run on a voluntary basis by the CGI Council, a small group of people from geological organisations around the world. To see details of current members of the CGI Council, click here.

CGI would like to have representatives in every country in the world and membership is open to all whose nations and organisations are part of International Union of Geological Sciences. To find out about joining CGI click here. There are currently 188 members located in 57 countries.
