CGI, la Commission pour la Gestion et l'Application de l'Information Géoscientifique, est une Commission de l'Union Internationale des Sciences Géologiques.
Sa mission est de stimuler au niveau mondial le transfert de la connaissance concernant les systèmes et l'information géosientifique(s). Ce site sera un des moyens les plus importants par le biais duquel CGI espère accomplir cette mission.

- Metadata forum - the rapid growth in the internet has raised the importance of Metadata.
- OneGeology - an interoperable geological map of the world.
