CGI, De Commissie voor het Beheer en de Toepassing van Geowetenschappelijke Informatie, is een Commissie van de Internationale Vereniging van Geologische Wetenschappen.
Onze missie is het bevorderen van de kennis uitwisseling over geowetenschappelijke informatie en –systemen. Deze website zal een van de belangrijkste middelen
zijn via dewelke CGI deze missie wil volbrengen.
Wij hopen dat U deze website de moeite van het bezoek waard vindt! Heeft U enige feedback, kommentaar of suggesties, dan bent U altijd welkom om ze naar ons te sturen.

- Interoperability Working Group - developing standards to enable seamless web integration of data hosted by different agencies.
- Multi-lingual thesaurus working group - developing a core multilingual vocabulary for Geosciences.
- Metadata forum - the rapid growth in the internet has raised the importance of Metadata.
- OneGeology - an interoperable geological map of the world.
